On 03/20/16 at approximately 8:10 PM Douglas County Deputies were called to the scene of a weapons violation on Blue Grade Rd. near East Wenatchee.
The reporting party stated that she and three friends were eastbound on Blue Grade Rd. approximately one half mile east of Hwy. 2 when they were been confronted by a male and a female in a pickup. The subjects brandished firearms, fired a shot in the air and threatened to kill the reporting party.
A Deputy spotted the suspect vehicle, a blue 2006 Chevy pickup, at the intersection of Blue Grade and Highway 2. The male and female inside were detained. Both showed signs of intoxication.
The complainant reported that she and three friends were going up Blue Grade to go off road driving. As they were driving eastbound, they passed the suspect vehicle going the opposite directions. The male and female suspects stopped them and told the complainant they were trespassing. The complainant was able to turn around and start back down Blue Grade but met the pickup which was coming back toward them. The male and female suspects exited the vehicle and both were armed with firearms. The suspects went to opposite sides of the victim vehicle. The female fired a shot in the air and told the victims if they didn’t come with them, they would find them and kill them. The male suspect also said that they had guns and would kill them if they didn’t come to his house. The victim feigned compliance so suspects would let them leave.
When they were able, the victims drove off quickly and called 9-1-1 as soon as they had cell service. The three other passengers in the victim vehicle gave similar accounts of the incident.
The male suspect was identified as 20 year old Blake M. Reiman of East Wenatchee. He was arrested for Felony Harassment (threats to kill), Unlawful Display of a Firearm, and DUI. The female suspect was identified as 33 year Ashley R. Walker of East Wenatchee. She was arrested for Felony Harassment (threats to kill) and Unlawful Display of a Firearm. Both were booked into the Chelan County Jail without incident. Deputies seized Ruger Mini-14 rifle and a Smith and Wesson handgun.
