This is the first in a series of articles focused on local Manson talent.
For my first entry I choose my daughter because she is talented and placed first in the 2009 Manson Idol Competition.
Born in Kirkland, WA., Ally grew up in a musical family. Her mother is a singer/songwriter and her father is a stage performer/singer/guitarist/harmonicist in King Biscuit, a local Lake Chelan blues band.
Ally walks to the beat of her own drum. Without any formal training, she has managed to win awards in the two previous Manson Idol competitions as a vocalist. She is a natural musician and is currently first chair trumpet in her fifth grade band class at Manson Elementary.
Ally continues to sing when ever, where ever she wants. She also has talent with arts and crafts and loves to swim.
One of Ally's dreams is to be a competitor on American Idol. Stage fright is not an issue. "I can do that!", claims Ally.
