Wednesday 2/22: Green-Hand Initiation for first year members/ FFA will be hosting a Welding Competition from 9-3
Thursday 2/23: Members will be wearing their Official Dress
Friday 2/24: BBQ at lunch hosted by the FFA

Pyramid contest
Manson Team Shop Contest
1) Each team will be given 10 acetylene welding rods to create a pyramid
2) Only two teams per school
3) You can have 3 to 5 people per team
4) You can use only gas welding
5) You will be judged on how much weight the pyramid can hold
6) Needs to be 12” in height or 12” in diameter
7) Must have flat base
8) Must be finished by 3:00
Individual Ag Mech Contest
Manson Individual Contest
Each participate must perform a
1) Gas lap weld
2) Braise steel to tin
3) Cut must be 4”x ½ thick each person is allowed two cuts
4) Arc single pass butt
5) Arc lap weld
6) Must be finished by 3:00
Scoring for team contest
1) Weld quality and appearance-point value 50 points
2) If pyramid doesn’t meet specifics 0 points
3) Meets measurement standards 50 points
4) Amount of weight structure can hold 200 points
Total points-250
All gas and welding rods will be supplied
Please supply your own gloves, safety glasses, welding helmets, and etc.
