Manson School District and our broader community would like to thank the Mill Bay Casino and their parent company, Colville Tribal Casinos. A recent fundraising effort by the casino and their patrons resulted in donations to community organizations which included $3000 to the Manson School District.
When it came time to determine who should receive these funds, Mill Bay Casino elicited the help of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. The church formed a committee to decide who would receive these funds and where they could best be spent. Manson Secondary School was lucky enough to be selected as a recipient to receive a donation in the amount of $3,000. These funds will be used to help support students and their families. For example, helping to defray costs for students to obtain college credits in the high school.
Members from St. Andrew’s Church were on hand at January‘s Board Meeting to be recognized for their willingness to be involved in the decision-making process. Mill Bay Casino General Manager, Mr. Bryon Smith, was unable to attend the meeting but was acknowledged by the board for his contribution and leadership.
