ImageChelan County Sheriff(CCSD) - Sheriff Harum reports on August 31, 2008 at 1832 hours RiverCom Communication Dispatch Center received a 911 call reference a “rolling domestic” in a 20 foot motor home driven through downtown Chelan.

The reporting party witnessed a male subject, who was driving the motor home, hitting and pushing a female.  The female appeared to be trying to defend herself and trying to get to the back of the motor home.  The reporting party gave the license plate of the motor home and a good physical description of the vehicle to RiverCom, who in turn, dispatched Chelan County Sheriff’s Deputies.

A few minutes later the female victim called 911 on her cell phone from inside the motor home and advised her boyfriend was refusing to stop the motor home to let her out, stating he was going to drive them off of a bridge.

Patrol Sergeant Chris Foreman located the motor home on Highway 97A near Pat and Mike's Gas Station.  Foreman turned on the motor home and activated his emergency lights and sirens.  The motor home failed to yield with speeds of 40 miles per hour and at milepost 229, the driver of the motor home dramatically swerve to the left and drove across the northbound lane of traffic and off an embankment, down into a ravine.  The vehicle did not hit the brakes and appeared to increase speed as it went off the road.  Fire and aid were immediately dispatched.  Sergeant Foreman located the female and male subject in the debris field as the cab of the motor home was ripped off the frame and had gone over on its top and exploded into pieces.

Chelan County Sheriff’s Office Collision Expert, Deputy Grant and Washington State Patrol processed the collision scene and found a suicide note written by Holladay.

Suspect and driver, Lloyd W. Holladay, 43, of Everett, WA was transported to Central Washington Hospital.  Holladay’s license is suspended in the 1st degree and he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. An odor of alcohol coming from Holladay triggered a blood draw at the accident scene for vehicular assault.

The 44 year old female of Chelan, WA was transported to Central Washington Hospital.
