Chelan’s
family festival celebrates its tenth anniversary on Labor Day Weekend
Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce(LCCC) - The RiverDaze Labor Day Festival will celebrate its 10th Anniversary
on August 30-31. The festival features live entertainment, an arts and crafts
show, food vendors and family-friendly activities.
“Coming to the show has become a
Labor Day tradition for both locals and visitors. It’s great to see the talented
artists that come from the Northwest,” said Event Manager Jaye Payne.
The festival’s uniqueness comes from its emphasis on local and regional artists.
Vendors are required to have created 75% of artwork available for purchase. No
commercial items are sold. This year’s artists include paintings by Diane
Paton-Peel, watercolors by Ned Fox and wood crafts by Dan Donley.
This two-day event also features a
strong lineup of performing artists. On Saturday, Romagossa
Blú will headline the
entertainment schedule with the band’s unique blend of original and cover music
inspired by rock, Latin, reggae and blues (5-8pm). On Sunday, The Ben Rice Band
will kick off the entertainment lineup. The band currently has three CD's of original music and is best
known for its energetic stage presence and explosive music (1-3pm).
Food vendors,
inflatables and a train ride with Dr. Wayne will be available throughout the
festival. On Saturday, a beverage garden will be available to attendees. The
festival takes place in Riverwalk Park from 10am-6pm on August 30, and
10am-4pm on August 31. For additional information and a
