Community Forums to Discuss Property Tax Changes PDF Print E-mail

ImageArea representatives will address property tax changes on June 16 and June 24.

Chelan,WA(MVT) - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and GoLakeChelan.com present two public forums relating to property tax issues. The first forum will be held on June 16 at 6:30pm at the Performing Arts Center at Chelan High School. Chelan County Assessor Russ Griffith and his staff will discuss new property assessments in the Lake Chelan Valley, the appeals process, and the likely tax impacts of the assessments.

The second forum will take place on June 24 at 6:30pm, also at the Performing Arts Center. Senator Linda Evans Parlette, Representative Mike Armstrong, Representative Cary Condotta and Assessor Russ Griffith will attend. Topics will include future property tax changes, as well as tax and budget trends. Both events will be held before the deadline for filing appeals on July 1.
