Wenatchee,WA (MVT) - A protest of the Iraq war took place on March 19th, 2008 at the corner of First Street and Wenatchee Avenue in Wenatchee. About 20 persons assembled on the corners with signs protesting the continuing war on the five year anniversary of the invasion.
The protest started at 11:30 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. Some motorists honked their horns in support while others vocalized their opinions from car windows. There was one person on-hand with a Bush-Chaney 2004 sign to offer a counter-opinion.
Later in the evening, a Vigil for Peace was held at the corner of Orondo Street and Chelan Avenue from 5:15 PM until 6:15 PM.
