Chelan,WA(IBC) - Icicle Broadcasting’s commitment to community radio
strengthened today, as central Washington news icon Steve Hair joins the news
teams of KOHO 101.1 and KOZI Radio Lake Chelan as the broadcast group’s
Wenatchee Bureau Chief.
Over the past 16 years, Hair earned the trust of the
Wenatchee valley
as the area’s most recognizable and listened to news authority at KPQ Radio.
Hair has given the Apple Capitol’s residents a front row seat to the most
important stories in the region, as well as providing the news folks need to
know to get through their daily routine. Icicle Broadcasting will be proud to
feature Hair’s breaking news reports and hard-hitting journalism as part of the
KOHO Morning Show and the
KOZI Morning News, as well as
news briefs throughout the day.
“Icicle Broadcasting has been looking to expand our news
department to super-serve the Wenatchee Valley, and Steve Hair was the perfect
candidate,” said Icicle Broadcasting Owner Harriet
Bullitt. “A journalist’s goals should be to get the story
first, get it right, and get it in depth,” said KOHO News Director
Clint Strand. “Steve Hair
understands all of that, and we’re excited to feature the most trusted news
voice in Wenatchee on our air.”
Icicle Broadcasting extends an invitation to ask Steve
about his history in Wenatchee radio and his upcoming duties on KOHO
101.1 and KOZI Radio Lake Chelan at a press conference at 10:00 a.m. Monday,
January 14th, at Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat.
