Chelan,WA(LCCC) - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is
coordinating its fourth annual Red Kettle “Ringing the Bell” Program. All proceeds
will go the Salvation Army to help those in need in Chelan and Douglas
Counties. Last year, Chelan successfully raised approximately $3,000.
The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking
volunteers to be bell ringers. Put on your parka, scarf, hat & mittens, and
join downtown business owners and shoppers for bell ringing. It’s your time to
get creative--dust off your flute and play a song, dress your dog like Rudolf
the Reindeer, or bring a few friends and sing Christmas carols. “Ringing of the
Bell” starts the day after Thanksgiving and ends the Saturday before Christmas. If you are not able to donate your time, please
bring refreshments and coffee to share with bell ringers.
If you would like to sign up for a one or two hour
time slot between the hours of 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at one of three locations, call
Cindy Davis at 682-3503.
