2007 Manson Apple Blossom Royalty PDF Print E-mail

Manson,WA (MVT) - The 2007 Manson Apple Blossom Royalty selection will be held in the Manson High School gymnasium on February 25th at 2:00 PM.  Three of these five seniors will be chosen to represent the 2007 Manson Apple Blossom Festival as Princesses and Queen.

There will be a charge at the door of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for 12 and under.  Come and enjoy this special event with Master of Ceremonies Dr. Dale Peterson.

ImageREBECA RIOS

Rebeca is the daughter of Angela Escalera.  She has one brother, Virgilio and one sister, Marlene.  Rebeca’s Honor Achievements and Activities while attending Manson High School include:  Honor Roll, Outstanding Reader Award, Citizenship Award, Academic Excellence Award, Habits of Mind Award, Math Award, 5th place State Track award in 9th grade, Regional and District Awards for Track, All-State and Region Award for Soccer, National Physical Fitness Award, Basketball Participation Award, and she received the Second Place Regional High School Art Show Award.

Rebeca’s hobbies include playing soccer, basketball and running track.  She also likes to draw, paint, take pictures, run, rock climb, hike, cook and dance.  She enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Her favorite TV show is “Friends” and her favorite novel is “Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

Rebeca plans on attending with Washington State University or Eastern Washington University to study Architectural Engineering and minor in Spanish.  She plans to work while attending college to pay for her education.

Jessica is the daughter of Tim and Ginger Ewing.  She has two brothers, Stephen and Isaac, and two sisters, Angela and Christine.  Jessica’s Honor Achievements and Activities while attending Manson High School include:  National Bausch & Lomb Science and Math Award, Citizenship Award, Best Musician, Most Inspirational, Most Improved in Track , Most Stalwart, The Presidential Award, Math Counts, and has received various awards for reading, math, science and grade point average.  She is a member of Honor Society, and has participated in Knowledge Bowl and Math Team.  She is currently serving as Treasurer for her Senior Class.

Her hobbies include Cross Country, Track and Field, Rock Climbing, Swing Dancing,  Snowboarding, Camping, Hiking, Reading, Writing, Church activities , concert band, pep band, and marching band.  She enjoys playing the clarinet and oboe.  

Jessica’s favorite TV show is “Num3ers” (Numbers) and her favorite novel is “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austin.

Jessica plans to attend a four year college and major in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Medical Research.  She would like to study abroad In Europe and obtain her Doctorate in Science.  In her free time she plans to continue playing the oboe and participate in outdoor physical activities.

Jessica’s escort is Victor Abarca, son of Zacarias Abarca.

ImageKIRSTEN SCHWADER

Kirsten is the daughter of Albert and Jeannie Schwader.  She has two brothers, Michael and Aaron.  Kirsten’s Honor Achievements and Activities while attending Manson High School include: Honor Roll, Received the Best Musician Award in Band,  Most inspirational Award in Choir, Received two Academic Letters,  and received Two Music Letters.  She has also tutored the 5th and 6th grade musicians for four years, and has been an Outdoor Education Counselor two years for 6th graders in Holden.

Her hobbies include reading, writing, playing the saxophone, clarinet and bassoon.  She also enjoys singing. 

Kirsten’s favorite TV show is “Mythbusters” and her favorite novel is “Death in the Long Grass” by Peter Hathaway Capstick.

Kirsten will be attending Central Washington University next fall and plans to study anthropology, archaeology, wildlife photography or English.  She also wants to finish writing her book and get it published sometime in the next.  She would like to work as a singer.

Kirsten’s escort is JR Cooper, son of Jamie and Brigitte Cooper.  

ImageNICHOLE SCHNELLE

Nichole is the daughter of Todd and Janelle Schnelle.  She has one brother, Vaughn.  Nichole’s Honor Achievements and Activities while attending Manson High School include:  Honor Roll, Greenhand FFA Degree, a member of the High School FFA for three years and is currently the Treasurer,  Secretary for High School Choir.  She has been a member of the Lake Chelan Rock and Mineral Club for six years and served as secretary one of those years. 

Nichole attended the National FFA Convention in Indiana this past October.  She has done volunteer work at Regency Manor, Volunteers for food drives, and is also a volunteer for highway and community clean-ups.  She attends “Impact” at North Shore Bible Church.

Nichole’s favorite TV show is “Golden Girls” and her favorite novel is “The Diary of Ann Frank”.

She plans on attending Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design in Spokane next fall to obtain her cosmetology license.  She also plans on furthering her education to hair and make-up artistry or instructor.

Nichole’s escort is Nick Krupla, son of Larry and Sheri Krupla.

ImageNOEMI LUQUE

Noemi is the daughter of Steve and Phyllis McKenna and Jose Luque.  She has seven brothers, Corey, Sean, Jared, Miguel, Andrew, Skyler and Jose.  She also has five sisters, Heather, Ashley, Jade, Esther, and Lupita.  Noemi’s Honor Achievements and Activities while attending Manson High School include:  Honor Roll, Team Captain, Perfect Attendance Award, and Various Sports and Academic Awards.  She is currently the ASB President.

Her hobbies include Basketball, Volleyball, Track, Softball, Golf, Reading, Writing, Dancing, making videos, watching TV, photography, traveling, listening to music and hanging out with her friends.

Her favorite TV show is “CSI, Laguna Beach” and her favorite novel is “Crank” by Helen Hopkins.

Noemi plans to attend Washington State University  to become a Wildlife Biologist.

Noemi’s escort is Raygan “Bubba” Baker, son of Arnold and Melody Baker.
