Manon,WA (MVT) - Terry Allan of Allan's Fishing Guide Service reports that ice fishing on Roses Lake is "Wonderful" this year. The ice has frozen to a thickness of 7 to 8 inches on most of the lake but stay away from the south end (far right of the boat ramp) where the ice is typically thinner.
The average catch varies from 8 to 16 inches and most likely it will be Rainbow Trout on the menu. The most effective baits are canned corn, chartreuse jigs, Power Bait and Potschke's Red Balls of Fire, all which can be purchased at Manson Red Apple Market or Manson Village Market.
