Holiday Lighting Contest :
TOMORROW
Join in on a friendly holiday
lighting competition. Nominate yourself, Nominate a friend, or Nominate your
neighbor. The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Chelan, Historic
Downtown Chelan Association, and Manson Business Association are hosting the
9th annual Holiday Lighting Contest. Any home or business in the
Lake Chelan area is eligible to
participate.
1st place home will be awarded $100
cash presented by Rotary Club of Chelan
2nd place home will be awarded a
$75.00 Chamber Certificate
3rd place home will be awarded a
$50.00 Chamber Certificate
People’s Choice Awards for the best
Merchant Displays will be presented by Historic Downtown Chelan Association and
Manson Business Association. Nomination / People Choice forms can be picked up
at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, online at www.lakechelan.com,
or any participating merchant.
Forms will need to be turned in at
the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce by noon Thursday, December 14th.
Be sure you have your lights on between 5:30 and 8 pm, Duane Coggins with
Kokopelli’s will tour the judges the night of Thursday, December
14th.

Needed Salvation Army Bell
Ringers:
We are still ringing the bell at
three separate locations in the Chelan Valley; Safeway, Chelan Red Apple Market and Downtown Chelan. Many
folks are still calling and wanting to sign up for our “Salvation Army Bell
Ringing”. We have extended the days and hours so those wishing to experience
ringing the bell have the opportunity to experience the “Red Kettle Program”.
Money collected in the Lake Chelan
Valley will go to less fortunate
families within the Chelan &
Douglas County area. We have extended the dates
for Friday, the 22 and Saturday, the 23. If you would like to experience
volunteering to ring the “Salvation Army Bell” please call the Chamber at
682-3503.

BEWARE!! There is a phone scam going on
right now. Tony Boyle, Cashmere High
School’s Principal, called and asked that this be
passed on to all. There is an “advertising company” called All-Star Publishing,
calling to sell ads for the upcoming 2006-2007 CHS calendar. They are hitting
up businesses already and it is not a legitimate company –
CHS is not working with this company, in fact the high school has
not even started the next calendar of events. Please DO NOT buy
any ads from this company. If you have been called by All-Star Publishing,
please contact Tony Boyle at the high school at 782-2914 and let him
know.
