Commissioner Buell Hawkins will be our special guest speaker this
month giving Chamber Members a short insight into his personal background
followed by a presentation on the County's Comprehensive Plan update and budget
processes. Commissioner Buell Hawkins will leave time for folks to ask
questions that he will provide answers for.
Buffet style lunch is available for
$9.00 ... in order to have enough food and seats for everyone, please RSVP by

Shop of Horrors-Cindy
Presented by the Chelan Valley Players at the Chelan Performing
Arts Center. Tickets are $15 and
available at the Chamber from noon to 4 pm Monday through Saturday and at the
Vogue business hours. Shows are November
10, 11, at 8pm and November 12, at 2pm.

Veteran's Day Parade (Elsa)
On Saturday, November 11th,
The Chelan VFW Post 6853 is sponsoring the 3rd annual Veteran's Day
parade at 11am in downtown Chelan. The
parade is an opportunity for the community to honor all who have served our
country. All veterans are invited to
meet at the corner of Sanders and Woodin at 10:45 am. Volunteers are needed to carry the service
flags. The parade runs 2 blocks down

Capitol
Christmas Tree Project 2006 (Cindy)
This year, Washington State has been given the honor of providing the
Christmas Tree that will stand in front of the U.S. Capitol Building in
Washington D.C. during the holidays. Our community has
been selected as a stop along the tour route. The date chosen for the stop will
be on November 13th from 9:00 am to 10:15 am.
The event will be held at the Don Morse
Park parking lot in front
of the playground area. Our Mayor will
open the ceremonies with a welcome and a US Forest Service Representative will
be speaking on details of the type of tree we are using and where it came
from. The Boy Scout's will presenting
the colors, the Chelan and Manson School District will be performing seasonal
music and our new Director, Micheal Steele will be closing the ceremonies. If you are interested in sponsoring the
event, a tree, or participating in the event, please contact Jaye at the

Annual Harvest Dinner (Elsa)
Saturday, November 18th, from
5-7 pm, The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church hosts their annual Harvest
celebration with a silent auction of handcrafted items, specialty baskets, gift
ideas, stocking stuffers, and more!
Dinner is from 5-7 pm and the auction ends the night of Harvest
dinner. Cost is $10 adult and $5 senior

Ski Swap (Elsa)
Sponsored by the Echo Valley Ski & Tubing Area. Ski Swap hours are Saturday, November
18th from 10 am to 1 pm at Morgan Owings Elementary Gym in
Chelan. Bring in your items to sell

ü The event must draw visitors and/or
residents to Manson and/or Stehekin.
ü The advertising for events must be
within Chelan Valley outside the City of Chelan.
ü Must promote tourism for the Chelan Valley.
ü There must be coordination with LCTPG
funding.
III. Lake Chelan Chamber Community Enrichment Fund ... can be used for
community enrichment or educational programs that will sustain the qualify of
life in the Lake
Chelan Valley.
