Chelan, Washington – On Friday, November 3, come celebrate First Friday’s, Shop Historic Downtown Event. This month’s theme is "Community Giving" with special discounts, entertainment, activities, a scarecrow contest, and more from 6pm-9pm.

Vote for your favorite scarecrow on display up and down Woodin Avenue. See imagination at work from Chelan's High and Elementary Schools, the Chelan Valley Independent School, the Red Hat Society, Soroptimist Intl. of Chelan, and various downtown businesses.  Ballots may be picked up and deposited at Campbell’s, the Chamber office, Culinary Apple, Main St Gallery and RayCom Radio Shack. Prizes will be awarded after this First Friday’s event. Many thanks to Marson and Marson Lumber and Chelan High School Woodshop class for the frames and First Friday’s Merchants and Jackie Tupling for supplies. 

The Museum will be open for tours featuring the trio, The Three Amigos.  Food donations will be accepted at the Chelan Food Bank and the historic St. Andrews Episcopal Church will be open.

The Eagle's Auxiliary will be having an event to benefit their scholarship program.

This month’s featured student art will be shown beginning First Friday and throughout the month at each of the following businesses.  Aston's, Carol's, Culinary Apple, Main St Gallery, Shirt Shop and Woven Threads.

Main St Gallery's Artist in Action series welcomes Twisp Artist, Sue Marracci who will be painting in acrylic on canvas. 

The Culinary Apple will be serving Old Fashion Fudge made with brown sugar.  All of our new inventory for Christmas will be out on display.

Enjoy a FREE APPETIZER (with purchase of two dinner entrees) at the Campbell House Café on Friday, October 6th. The Cafe is open for dinner from 5:00 - 9:00 pm.  For reservations, please call 682-4250. Campbell's will again be doing a free appetizer

In the spirit of community giving, at Swim World, they are giving back.  The first ten customers will receive a small token of their appreciation.  Swim World’s Christmas section is bursting with great decorating ideas.  Lots of merchandise throughout the store has been reduced.  As always there will be samples of some of their fabulous food items!  Come have fun with Swim World!

FIRST FRIDAY is a special event held in Chelan’s historic shopping district the first Friday of each month from 6 – 9 pm.  Participating merchants offer FIRST FRIDAY specials.
