Manson FFA Places 17th at State Apple Judging Contest |

Manson - The Manson FFA sent 7 members to compete in the State FFA Apple Judging Contest held in Wenatchee on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 in conjunction with the WA State Horticulture Convention.
There where 118 members competing from 22 schools. The contestant had to Id. Apple Varieties, be able to determine Fruit Maturity, show they could do proper pressure testing technique, identify bugs that are associated with apple farming, grading of apple whether it be extra fancy, fancy or cull and take a written test on proper use of chemicals and chemical safety.
The Manson FFA team placed 17th. The members not graduating are excited about competing again in next year’s state competition.
