Manson Community Council (MCC) - The Manson Community Council will be hosting a Public Open House and Hearing to review the Manson Comprehensive Plan, new Urban Growth Area and implementing development regulations to guide future development.

The public Open House starts at 6pm followed by a Public Hearing at 7pm on August 25, 2009 at the School Commons, 1000 Totem Pole Road, Manson.

The Manson Plan includes an expanding Urban Growth Area and specific zoning code to achieve the community vision. Public participation at the local community meeting/hearing will ensure that the vision reflects the majority of residents.

The Community Council is expected to make a formal recommendation to the County Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners after public testimony has been taken and considered.

Specific changes include changes to the Zoning Map; expansion of the Urban Growth Area; and, new code, development regulations including a requirement for vacation rentals to obtain a “conditional use permit”.

Any person may appear at said public hearing and present testimony orally or in writing. Written submissions will be accepted up to the close of the public hearing. Written public comment must include your name, current address, and original signature.
