WSP Seeking Public’s Help in Locating Missing Spokane Woman

Amy Story - Missing
Washington State Patrol (WSP) -
The Washington State Patrol is seeking assistance from the public to locate a
missing Spokane woman who was last seen June 22, 2009, walking off of the
ferry M/V Tacoma, at the Colman Ferry Terminal in Seattle, Washington after
the Bainbridge Island to Seattle run.
The woman, 27 year-old Amy Story drove her vehicle aboard the M/V Tacoma
for the 2:55 p.m. sailing from Bainbridge Island to Seattle. When the ferry
docked at Colman Terminal in Seattle at approximately 3:30 p.m., WSF
workers located an abandoned vehicle in the upper wing area of the vessel.
The Mitsubishi Galant was registered to Ms. Story. Ferry workers noted
several personal items belonging to Ms. Story in the vehicle.
Investigation has revealed Ms. Story walked off the vessel when it arrived in
Seattle, leaving her vehicle on the vessel.
Ms. Story is described as a white female, 5’06”’ tall, 230 pounds, with medium
length straight brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a green
striped sweater and blue jeans.
Ms. Story’s family indicates she suffers from bi-polar condition and may not be
taking her medications. Ms. Story has experienced similar episodes in the
past. Ms. Story was visiting relatives in Sequim and may be trying to make
her way back to Spokane.
