Chelan County Sheriff (CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on April 16, 17, and 18, 2008 a team of Detectives from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, Wenatchee Police Department, United States Marshalls Office, Washington State Department of Corrections, Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, Chelan County Department of Corrections and the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement continued the operations of seeking out and arresting registered sex offenders and probation violators.

Cashmere,WA (CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on April 20, 2008,  at 1147 PM  Rivercom Dispatch advised Deputies of a burglary at the 6600 block of Hay Canyon Road in Cashmere.  The reporting party, Merle Leroy Shellenbarger said his front door was torn down and subjects were in his residence.  He said he woke up and confronted two males in the living room area of the home; both ran out the front door and left in a white car.  They left towards the highway (US 2).  Shellenbarger called back and said there were two occupants in the vehicle and it was a white “Corolla-type” vehicle.  He further stated as they were leaving he shot his 40 caliber pistol at the vehicle three times to scare them off.

Port of Chelan County(POCC) - The Board of Commissioners of the Port of Chelan County will meet in regular session on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008, in the Port conference room located at 238 Olds Station Rd, Suite A, Wenatchee, Washington.

A portion of the Commissioners’ regularly scheduled meeting will include a joint session with Port of Douglas County Commissioners to discuss and take possible action on issues of mutual concern, as well as, hold a special meeting of the Pangborn Memorial Airport Governing Board.
