School Bond Issue to be Presented at Chamber Luncheon

Chelan,WA(LCCC) - Lake Chelan School District Representatives, Jim Busey and Barb Wadkins, will present information regarding a $5.5 million school bond issue at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon on Monday, January 14. Local voters will determine the future of the bond (Resolution #07-02) on February 19, 2008. Find out about updates and safety improvements. Chamber luncheons are held the second Monday of every month at Campbell’s Resort from 12-1pm. Buffet-style lunch is available for $9/person. Mike Harum Receives Two New Appointments

Chelan County Sheriff(CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports he was recently elected to two (2) top positions in the State. Last week Sheriff Harum was elected to the position of Secretary Treasurer for the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO). The membership of the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) includes elected county assessors, auditors, clerks, coroners and medical examiners, prosecuting attorneys, sheriffs, treasurers and comparable appointed officials in charter counties.

Burglary / Vehicle Chase - Update

Chelan,WA(CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on Saturday December 15, 2007 the suspect in the Burglary and assault, Ian Harley Davidson Perry, of Chelan was arrested in Chelan by deputies without incident. Deputies had been contacting people in the Chelan area that were familiar with Perry. One of which called Rivercom dispatch to report Perry was at his house and was now running away.

Chelan,WA(CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on Friday December 14, 2007 at 0146 AM hours, Deputies responded to a 911 call in the Howard Flats area north of Chelan, regarding a burglary in progress 223 Howard Flats Road, Chelan. A resident was awoken to the sound of individuals burglarizing the business.

Wolf’s Win Holiday Lighting Contest

Chelan,WA(LCCC) - Marge and Rusty Wolf, winners of the 2007 Lake Chelan Holiday Lighting Contest, participated for more than winning first place. Rusty Wolf decided to light the family home to honor his father who recently died from a cardiac arrest. “It’s something Dad always planned on doing; unfortunately, he passed away a couple months ago.” He told his mother, Marge Wolf, “I don’t care if we win or not. I’m doing this for Dad.”
