Rhythms at the Lake Songwriting Workshop 101

Chelan, Washington (LCCC) - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Chelan State Park presents “Songwriting 101 Workshop – Presented by Junkyard Jane.” This workshop will take place during the first annual Rhythms At The Lake Festival on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 2pm to 3:15pm at the Lake Chelan State Park. Admission is free, and this workshop promises to be a great learning experience.

Search for Overdue Hikers

Chelan County Sheriff - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on September 20, 2007 the Sheriff’s search and rescue team began a search for overdue hikers Otto Vaclavek 53 year old male of Spokane and his son Max Vaclavek 12 years old male. The search was conducted in the Alpine Wilderness, 4 miles west of Leavenworth. It was believed that the Vaclaveks were climbing in the area of Mount Stuart on Sherpa Peak.

This event will be held on Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29th and will include over 25 entertainment acts and music styles including; rock, blues, Latin, Brazilian Afro-Cuban, funk, pop, alternative, swing, jazz, country, Christian, reggae, Hispanic, folk and more!
