ImageThe Board of Commissioners of the Port of Chelan County will join the City of Cashmere City Council for a special workshop/study session at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 29th, 2007, to discuss a potential purchase by the Port of 32.5 acres of property located within the Cashmere urban growth boundary.  No action will be taken.

Chelan, Washington - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 11th annual Chelan Valley Memorial Parade Thursday, May 24th honoring police officers and soldiers killed in the line of duty. The parade begins 7 pm on Woodin and Johnson Avenue between Bradley and Columbia Street. CruiZin Chelan 2007 PDF Print E-mail

Chelan, Washington - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce is bringing the 1st Annual CruiZin Chelan Classic Car Show to downtown Chelan, June 1st and 2nd.  This two-day event promises to have something for everyone.  Friday night the streets will be lined with classic cars and hot rods from all years, celebrating along with the Historic Downtown Chelan Association’s First Friday’s “Celebrate Dad” theme. Enjoy DJ & Recorded Music provided by Lake Chelan Studios featuring rock-n-roll oldies. The Chelan Middle School/High School Music Department will be holding an ice cream social fund raiser.  Participants will participate in a Chelan Valley Poker Run and downtown walkabout. 

 

Saturday, will begin with a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Lake Chelan Lion’s Club and continuing with the all day show-n-shine sponsored and presented by a live remote from KOZI radio station. The Riverwalk Park will host a variety of family and kid’s activities (including inflatables, carburetor valve cover races, bumper boats, plus more), and specialty vendors will be in attendance.  Ruby Theater will be showing a special matinee of “CARS” at 2pm for a $2 fee.  The Riverwalk Pavilion stage will feature local entertainment throughout the day (including Chelan and Manson Royalty, a live story teller, Lake Chelan Karate Class, MOE Marimba band, local musicians and more).  This event will finish off with an “all city” cruise and street dance with Seattle’s favorite rock-n-roll dance band, Indy Nile.  Come down dressed in theme and ready to boogie to the oldies.
